Brick Days 2024 - The Event

This is the reason that things have been quiet here.  I was deeply engaged in getting ready for this event.  I have not been keeping up with the Blog while I spent time building out the display and checking out the connections.  So here are some of the pictures from Brick Days.

It was well attended and we always enjoy going here. LOLUG is just a great sponsor and they know how to put on a great show.

The Ice Castle.  All transparent bricks with lighting.

A working clock.

Micro architecture.  I am becoming fascinate with this technique and how it might be incorporated into the display.  I am thinking about some sort of alien life form that needs protection.

DC watch tower.

Original M-Tron Mega Core Magnetizer from the 1990's.  At over $350 each, there is some money here.

I found these 3-D mosaics to be more interesting than the typical mosaic.

More micro architecture.

Very detailed Bonsai type model.

The office.

A Star Wars beach scene.

This is a castle with a creek running along the side of it.  I was mostly interested in the creek and how this was modeled.  This is the type of terraforming that needs to happen on the plateau.  Except there is no water.

Someone else with a wounded warrior on a stretcher.  I also am interested in a smaller transport than the Starfleet Voyager I am using right now.

No glue, just amazing that he can move it.

USS South Dakota from WWII, done in a unique building technique.
